Privacy and cookies
Last updated: 2 October 2026
115.football is run in the UK, and we're responsible for the data described here. Contact: 115footballapp@gmail.com.
You can play without an account. We don't ask for your name, email or age.
What we collect and why
- Player ID: a random ID in a cookie, plus standard session and security cookies, so we can keep your runs, streaks and best results. These are needed for the game to work, so they don't need consent.
- Game data: your club, signings, results and optional username. Finished runs, usernames and share pages are public, so don't use a username you wouldn't want seen.
- Where you came from, such as an ad link or the site that sent you, stored with your run so we can see which campaigns work.
- Your country, worked out from your connection when you start a run and stored with it, so we know where players are. We don't keep your IP address for this.
- Analytics, only if you accept them: Plausible, a cookie-free service that counts visits and which clubs get picked without identifying you.
- Technical data such as IP address, browser and request logs, used to keep the site secure and to stop cheating, bots and abuse.
- Emails you send us, used only to reply.
Cookies and your choice
On your first visit we ask which optional cookies you're happy with. Until you choose, and if you reject them, we only use the essential player ID. Your choice is kept for 12 months, then we ask again. You can change it any time with Privacy settings in the footer or Cookie settings in the menu.
- Essential (always on): the player ID, session and security cookies.
- Analytics: Plausible, as above.
- Marketing: Google AdSense ads, which may be personalised to your interests, and the X (Twitter) pixel, which tells us whether our ads on X work.
Advertising
If you accept Marketing cookies we show Google AdSense ads; if you don't, no ads load. How Google uses data: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. How X uses data: x.com/en/privacy.
Who else handles data
Laravel Cloud (hosting), Cloudflare (security and content delivery), Plausible (analytics), Google (ads) and X (ad measurement). Some process data outside the UK, under legal safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
Runs and usernames for as long as the game runs, unless you delete them. Logs for a short period. Emails for as long as needed to deal with them.
Your rights
You can delete your runs yourself on the About page. You can also ask us to access, correct or delete your data, or object to how we use it, by emailing 115footballapp@gmail.com. If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk.
Legal basis
Running the game, keeping your runs and protecting the site rely on our legitimate interest in providing a fair, working game. Analytics, advertising and ad measurement rely on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Children
The game is for a general audience. We don't knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
Changes
We'll update this page if anything changes; the date at the top shows the latest version.
