@jacksmith’s Man United
@jacksmith took Manchester United back to the summer of 2009 with City’s £900m and came out with 17 major trophies. The real Man United won six in the same nine seasons.
They spent £411m of the budget on 23 players.
Three of their titles came in a season City really won.
They built in stages, spending £57.5m in 2009 and the rest over the summers that followed.
The biggest fees: Kevin De Bruyne (£64.5m, 2016), Mohamed Salah (£45.5m, 2016) and Sergio Agüero (£39.5m, 2011).
They were champions nine times: 2009/10, 2010/11, 2011/12, 2012/13, 2013/14, 2014/15, 2015/16, 2016/17 and 2017/18.
The best season was 2012/13, winning the league, the FA Cup and the Champions League.
